A graduate of the University of San Francisco with a bachelor of arts in applied economics, Soji Fanoiki draws on more than 23 years of investment experience as the founder and managing partner with Boinu Capital. Since 2016, he has focused on investments in African private markets. Soji Fanoiki founded Boinu Capital in 2018 and leads the firm in diligence, fund sourcing and monitoring, and investor relations.
Mr. Fanoiki previously spent 22 years as a senior account executive and senior investment counselor with Fisher Investment in Woodside, California. There, he managed over $300 million in assets and educated US investors on investment opportunities in Africa. To stay informed of industry trends and topics, Mr. Fanoiki belongs to the Corporate Council of Africa and the Africa Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.
Mr. Fanoiki maintains an interest in how private capital funds flowing into Africa enhances value creation across different sectors and companies on the continent. He is also keen on current technology trends taking shape in Africa, impact of climate change and shifts in weather patterns and moderating Africa’s future carbon emissions. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, swimming, playing golf and spending time with his family.
